Silo
SILO
Cold darkness of night Staggering walk, zigzag The walls are too far.
Gripping pain seizes Arms hold my stomach One wall: tears fall, gasp.
I am in a silo alone
In the dark awakened Illness takes no time off.
Terror, reality, blazes bright Night illuminates truth; I’m Trapped in a silo alone—
No escape; to die without Comfort. Ordinary shame.
Echo chamber where hope Bangs silently and slithers Out— to leave me to endure
The frightening truth of God.
